Doctor's Diagnosis and Advice

in We Are Alive Tribe11 days ago (edited)

Last Tuesday, I went back to my doctor to show him the lab and MRI results, and true enough, he was happy with it as most of it is normal and within acceptable parameters. His diagnosis is mixed migraine/tension-type headache, which is also consistent with the MRI impressions of bilateral mastoiditis.

His advice? Avoid anything with chocolate and nuts; salty and MSG-rich foods; junk foods; alcohol such as beer, wine, and hard drinks; citrus fruits and juices; cheese (that's a strange one); and instant noodles. Coffee was allowed (yipee!). He also advised me to avoid the following: sleeping less than 7-8 hours daily; getting stressed and physically and mentally tired; skipping meals; and mulling over other people's problems (as if I ever did; my own problems are plentiful enough LOL!). The latter is not an issue for me heheh.

He also changed my medications since at least one of them was making me nauseous. As I took them these past few days, they had a better effect on me.

To celebrate a bit after the visit, I went ahead and had some cheap (but tasty) burger opposite the hospital.

I also had some beef heart broth with rice as dinner.

So happy to have a clean bill of health and be alive!

It's good to hear that there are no serious issues with your health.

However, migraine is quite a nasty condition! So, keep following your doctor's advice!

Best of luck!
