Wow! Walking around outside and I see dramatic signs of life in the late Spring.
Where I live, the flowers bloom all year round. Some desert plants including this one only bloom and thrive when it's hot outside. I am amazed at the beautiful blooms that populate this dusty desert wasteland.
You can see the dormant and dried out plant giving rise to a purple bloom and green vital leaves after a long Winter. These plants are the cold and indirect sunlight. It's amazing they thrive in the 100-degree heat and unrelenting sunshine that is Summer here.
I am looking forward to Summer and all that it brings. I used to live in a cold region, and the Summer was something we dreamed about all year. Here the opposite is true, and we anticipate Summer with dread.
