RE: The Holidays vibes in downtown Chicago and the Christkindlmarket

in Worldmappin11 days ago

Those first two photos look like they were made by AI! You were in the right place at the perfect time, as the first photo, with Christmas lights on the buildings, looks awesome! It will be tough to get back to the ordinary routine after the vacation, but you have a lot of great memories to keep you "warm" until the next ones!

Have a great 2026, and all the best to you and your family!

Hey!! How are you? Sorry for the late reply. Yes, that day was just as you describe it: being in the right place at the right time. The other times I went there, the sky was gray and cloudy. I was lucky that day.

This year, with the news from Venezuela, it's been difficult to get back into the routine, but yes I do have unforgettable memories of the holidays.

Thank you for the support and for picking my blog to OurPick :)

May 2026 bring you and your family good health, happiness, and prosperity. Cheers!

All good on this side! Thanks for asking...

I suppose when things settle down, it should be easier to travel abroad?

Yes, for sure, it will be easier. Venezuela main airport has a strategic situation in the continent, if things settle down that will be a major change.

I still plan to go to Venezuela at the end of next month. I hope that by then things will be more stable. Right now there is a lot of uncertainty. People are afraid, there is still a lot of repression and people fear being arrested, that and the economic situation, which has become worse in recent months. But there is hope that better times will come soon, something we didn't have before.

Fingers crossed that the situation and life go better in Venezuela! 🤞
