Today, I'm sharing an image of the Jungle Babbler that I captured during a morning walk.
The Jungle Seven Brothers, also known as the Jungle Babbler, is a common bird found across the Indo-Pak subcontinent and belongs to the Leiothrichidae family. In Urdu, it is called “Saat Bhai” (Seven Brothers) because it is usually seen moving in groups of seven or eight, which is one of its most distinctive behaviors, or also known as Saat Bhaina (Seven Sisters), due to constant chattering in groups.

They also defend and fight for their territory, and I witnessed that whenever they saw their reflection in the windows, they started hitting the window so hard.

This bird is commonly spotted in gardens, forests, and areas with dense trees, where it prefers to live as a resident species rather than migrating. Male and female Jungle Babblers look alike, both having grayish-brown plumage and yellow beaks.

The female typically lays three to four greenish-blue eggs, and one of their most remarkable traits is the cooperative way in which the pair helps each other raise their chicks.

Their lively calls can often be heard in the trees around homes, making them a familiar and recognizable bird in both urban and rural landscapes.
