In an abandoned city, there was a dusty, peculiar bicycle in an old garage. The children of the city called it the 'Bicycle of Destruction.' Among the rusty iron frame, the bright red seat looked as good as new. There was a saying among the city's people—whoever rides this bicycle will have all their wishes fulfilled, but in exchange, they will lose something dear from the city.
Adi was an ambitious teenager. He did not believe in these things. One day, out of stubbornness, he started pedaling the bicycle. Strangely, while riding it, he felt like he was floating in the air. He wished in his heart for a lot of money. The next morning, it was found that a bag full of coins had appeared in his yard. But oddly, the only large pond in the city had dried up overnight, turning into wood. The city began to wail from the lack of water.
Adi thought it was a coincidence. He wished for the most beautiful house in the city to be his. The next day, a regal palace was built for him, but in exchange, all the green trees in the city instantly died. The air became toxic.Adi was now scared. He wished for everything to go back to how it was. But the bike's rule was cruel—it only knew how to take, not to give. Each time he tried to fix something, in exchange, the city's schools, playgrounds, and even the smiles on people's faces began to vanish.
Finally, when the city had turned into a desert, Adi realized that the 'Bicycle of Destruction' was actually a symbol of human insatiable greed. He took the bicycle to the top of a mountain and threw it into a deep gorge. The bicycle was indeed destroyed, but the city never returned to its former state. Empty-handed, Adi was left in an empty wasteland.
When greed becomes blind, the gains are merely a transformation into destruction.
