“That Will Be A Hard Pass!”😳
“Watch out for those tight turns up ahead Silvertop!”🙄
I decided to hike the Mountain Pass today. I wanted to see how low in elevation, last nights snow had dusted the Mountain sides!😊
You can see from the photos at the end of today’s post, that I ran into some friends!😇
Mules can be very stubborn at times, partly because they are more intelligent than horses!
I checked in with ChatGPT to confirm this……………
“Yes Silvertop Mules are very intelligent, they need a reason to trust you, and won’t blindly go into dangerous situations!
They also have excellent long-term memory!”
Today I was hiking North Pass alone……….
See that sparkle in their eyes? It’s because these guys are looking for my hiking companion, that tiny body builder of a Dog named Phoenix!☺️
Unfortunately Phoenix isn’t with Silvertop today, she is back at my Son’s home, playing with our Granddaughter Olivia!😍
Hiking this Mountain Pass with Phoenix always requires a “ pitstop”, to say hi to her friends!😇
I don’t know what Phoenix is saying to the mules, or what the mules are saying back, but they apparently all like each other very much Lol!☺️
They looked disappointed that I was alone today…………
“Sorry guys it’s only Silvertop today!”😇
It looks like the snow level is back up to about 1,000 feet above sea level. That makes sense, given that the temperature on my front porch was 40° when I left for today’s hike!
That’s OK my friends……😇
The snow is back, I just read that Steven’s Pass is buried with 20 to 21 inches of fresh new snow in the last 24 hours!🙄
The Snow is right where it needs to be!😇
Silvertop is going to head back home now, and light a nice warm fire in the wood stove!☺️
Till tomorrow Silvertop Mike 😊
