This is Silvertop and Liz’s last day with our “Grand-Dog”!
Tomorrow morning our son is coming to take her home!😮
“Dad… I will still be adjusting from Hungarian time, so I will probably be up your place before 9AM!”😍
Bill, his Wife, and our one Year old (just yesterday!🤗🎂) Granddaughter, have been visiting the Hungarian side of the family for the last two weeks!😍
“Silvertop…… I think Phoenix instinctively knows Bill and the Family are back in the States!”🥰
It’s been two weeks of getting up early, to take this little girl “outside”!
Cot told me under no uncertain terms, was a DOG using his litter box Lol!🤣😻
Phoenix is a true hunting dog!🤗
The first photo was just seconds after she spotted a squirrel, running up a tree😳
Don’t let the small size of this woofer influence, your opinion of her hunting ability!😊

• Dachshund: Bred specifically to hunt badgers and other animals that go to ground. They have a very strong prey drive and were expected to track, chase, and even pursue prey into burrows.
• Rhodesian Ridgeback: Originally developed in southern Africa for hunting and tracking large game. They have excellent scenting ability, stamina, and a natural instinct to pursue moving animals.
  So she basically got two hunting breeds in one dog! 😂 The dachshund side probably contributes a lot of the determination to chase smaller critters, while the Ridgeback side contributes athleticism, tracking ability, and endurance.”

Grandma and Grandpa Silvertop surprised this girl when she first arrived, with the squeaky chew toy “Duck” that you can see her enjoying in a couple of the photos!☺️
Outside or inside, Phoenix is always on the “Hunt” Lol!😊
She will be so missed!😍
