Day 2: Bohol Land Tour – From Anda’s Shores to Nature’s Wonders
After enjoying the beauty of Anda, it’s time to kick off Day 2 of our exciting land tour in Bohol! Ready for more breathtaking sights and unforgettable adventures. New discoveries, fun moments, and the perfect blend of nature and culture. Let the Bohol adventure continue!
Our first destination was the renowned Chocolate Hills, located approximately 83 kilometers from Anda. The drive took us about 1 hour and 30 minutes, offering scenic views of the countryside. Upon reaching the viewing deck, we were greeted by the sight of over 1,700 perfectly cone-shaped hills, the green grass under the morning sun. The hills, which turn brown during the dry season, earned their name and are truly a natural masterpiece.
Next, was the Bohol Tarsier Conservation Area a drive of about 46 minutes from Chocolate Hills. Here, we had the special chance to see the tiny Philippine tarsiers, the world’s smallest primates, safely protected in their natural habitat. The quiet trails and informative guides helped us appreciate these fascinating creatures without disturbing them.
Not far from there, we stopped at the Ship Haus in Batuan. It’s a fun and unique house shaped like a giant ship, built by a former seaman. The staff even wears sailor uniforms, and we were given sailor hats to wear too! The inside looked like the inside of a ship. We had so much fun pretending they were on a sea voyage, and we all enjoyed a light snack at the small café. It was such a joyful and one of a kind experience.
Next, we drove approximately 48 kilometers to the Bilar Man-Made Forest, a beautiful stretch of towering mahogany trees forming a cool, shady tunnel along the road. The peaceful atmosphere made it the perfect place for family photos and a moment to enjoy nature’s beauty.
As we continued our adventure, we visited the Busai Dream Falls in Loboc, about 8 kilometers from the Man-Made Forest. The falls are surrounded by many green trees and plants, making the place feel very calm and fresh. Clear water flows down the rocks like you can hear the gentle sound of the water as it falls, which adds to the quiet and relaxing feeling all around. It’s a perfect spot to take a break from traveling and enjoy nature’s beauty.
From there, we headed to the historic Baclayon Church, one of the oldest churches in the Philippines, located roughly 35 kilometers from Loboc. The church stands as a beautiful reminder of Bohol’s rich history and faith. Walking through its ancient walls was a meaningful experience for the whole family.
And lastly, we visited Bohollywood in Sikatuna. It's a park filled with mini versions of famous world landmarks like the Eiffel Tower, Statue of Liberty, Leaning Tower of Pisa, Christ the Redeemer, and the Golden Gate Bridge. It was like traveling the world in one place! We walked through beautiful gardens and took lots of fun photos together as a family.
Bohol never fails to amaze us everywhere we go. We hope everyone enjoys our adventure. Until the next one calls! 🤗
