FungiFriday: A small red-footed tortoise eating mushrooms (Engl / Spn)

I don't think this little creature ate the mushroom out of hunger, as there is a variety of food available to choose from. Here you can see some *semerucos* or acerola cherries (*Malpighia emarginata*) that fall to the ground when ripe. There are also plenty of small plants, guavas, and star cherries, plus I feed them bananas, lettuce, hard-boiled eggs, and so on; that’s why I was quite surprised to see this little turtle eating mushrooms. In fact, I saw that it had eaten the caps of two specimens, so I assume it is an edible mushroom, albeit one of little culinary interest to humans. I don't know what species of mushroom it was, because it had already eaten almost all of it. I infer that the mushroom had already matured and released its spores, judging by the way it was left.

No creo que este animalito haya ingerido el hongo por hambre, pues hay variedad de alimentos para elegir. Aquí pueden ver algunos semerucos o acerolas (Malpighia emarginata) que caen maduras al suelo. También hay muchas plantas pequeñas, guayabas y cerezas estrelladas, además de que les alimento con bananas, lechugas, huevos sancochados y demás, por lo que me sorprendió bastante ver a esta pequeña tortuga comiendo hongos. De hecho ví que se había comido el sombrero de dos ejemplares, así que supongo es un hongo comestible, aunque con escaso interés gastronómico para el humano. No sé qué especie de hongo sería, porque ya se lo había comido casi todo. Infiero que ya el hongo había madurado y soltado las esporas, por la forma en que quedó.
