Oatmeal, Pasta, and Sudden Change of Plans

in Weekend Experiences7 days ago

Good evening and a blessed Sunday, everyone! It's Christmas Day next week. Are you ready for the noche buena?

I had planned to go out a while ago to buy some ingredients for the noche buena at the wet market and check out the plaza but I suddenly felt lazy after taking a bath. Probably because I got exhausted yesterday that my mind and body just wanted to rest today. Maybe I'll just go tomorrow or the next day.

Meanwhile, I'm now again back with oatmeal for breakfast because the rolled oats and seeds I bought online arrived late last night. The delivery rider told my father that there were lots of parcels he has to deliver that the day. I just hope they are well-compensated during holidays.

My usual oatmeal includes: rolled oats, slices of banana, milk, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, chia seeds, and flax seeds. I also added dried cranberries this time just to try if I like its taste. Well, it's not that bad but maybe I'll prefer some slices of fresh apple instead. I also add yogurt sometimes.

I love making oatmeal for breakfast because it's very easy to prepare and saves me a lot of time. The seeds also contains lots of good nutrients which I've read is good for the hair. I'm having issues with my hair for two years now and I'm doing my best to consume foods that would help improve my hair health.

And since I chose not to go out today, I made dinner instead. I still have some spaghetti pasta left so I made the easiest pasta recipe I know—aglio olio. I added some chunks of christmas ham just because it's christmas season. Lol.

I love all the foods I made today and to end the day, I opened my windows and lighted incense. I wonder why it smelled much more fragrant when it's not lighted. Anyway, lighting incense helps me to clear my mind, my space, and set my intentions for the week.

May we all have a great week ahead! Don't forget to slow down despite the holiday rush.
