Last year I was in Venezuela, and during my stay, an anime I've always loved premiered at the local cinema. I'd already seen the first season, and all the fans were eagerly awaiting the movie. As soon as it hit theaters, I went to see it. This great anime is Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc
The first season of the anime was fantastic. I honestly thought the movie wouldn't compare, but I was wrong. I really enjoyed the movie; it's one of the best adaptations I've seen. The story between the protagonists, Denji and Reze, is spectacular. They meet in a very peculiar way. Denji is, from my point of view, impulsive and honest, driven by basic desires like good food or female affection. In the movie, his personality takes an unexpected turn when he falls in love with Reze, a mysterious girl who works at a coffee shop.
Reze projects a sweet, fun-loving, and vulnerable image to gain Denji's trust. However, beneath that facade hides a cold, highly trained, and lethal assassin.
Denji is hopelessly drawn to Reze, but what he doesn't know is that Reze is hiding a great secret. She only wanted to obtain Denji's heart, which is actually that of the demon Pochita. As an agent sent by the Soviet Union, her mission was to capture or extract the core of the Chainsaw Man (Denji) to use its immense power as a strategic military weapon.
When Denji learned of this terrible betrayal by Reze, the girl he loved and trusted, he was devastated. Even so, despite their fierce struggle, and when he was on the verge of defeating her, Denji saved her and asked her to run away with him. At first, she refused, but he told her to think it over and that he would wait for her answer at the café where Reze worked, the place where they had shared incredible moments and had so much fun.
When the long-awaited day of the answer arrived, Denji went to wait for Reze at the cafe, but she never arrived. On her way to tell Denji that she accepted his offer, she was ambushed, attacked, and killed in an alley by Makima, with the support of the Angel Demon, just as she was heading to the cafe to meet Denji. The reason for this ambush was that Makima wanted to prevent their reunion, thus eliminating any possibility of Denji and Reze escaping together. Makima, having orchestrated the events, sought to maintain absolute control over Denji and neutralize Reze, who represented a threat and an obstacle to her plans.
Reze's death is one of those fictional character deaths that I haven't been able to get over. What hurts the most is that Denji never knew Reze was ambushed; he simply assumed Reze didn't come to meet him because she didn't want to, and that's truly heartbreaking.

La primera temporada del anime fue genial. Sinceramente creí que la pelicula no se le compararía, pero me equivoqué, me gustó mucho la película, ha sido una de las mejores adaptaciones que he visto. La historia entre los protagonistas llamados Denji y Reze es espectacular, ellos se conocen de una manera muy peculiar, Denji es un chico desde mi punto de impulsivo, honesto y se mueve por deseos básicos como comer bien o el afecto femenino. En la película, su personalidad da un giro inesperado al enamorarse de Reze, una chica misteriosa que trabaja en una cafetería.
Reze proyecta una imagen dulce, divertida y vulnerable para ganarse la confianza de Denji. Sin embargo, bajo esa fachada se esconde una asesina fría, altamente entrenada y letal.
Denji se siente atraído irremediablemente por Reze pero lo que él no sabe es que Reze esconde un gran secreto, ella solo quería obtener el corazón de Denji, que es en realidad el demonio Pochita. Como agente enviada por la Unión Soviética, su misión era capturar o extraer el núcleo del Chainsaw Man(Denji) para utilizar su inmenso poder como un arma estratégica militar.
Al Denji enterarse de esta terrible traición por parte de Reze la chica que amaba y en la cual confiaba, se sintió devastado, aún así, a pesar de la cruel lucha que tuvieron y cuando estuvo a punto de vencerla Denji la salvó y le pidió que se escaparan juntos. Ella al principio se negó pero él le dijo que lo pensara y esperaría su respuesta en la cafetería donde Reze trabajaba y en el lugar donde habian pasado increíbles momentos y donde se divertieron mucho.
Al llegar el ansiado día de la respuesta, Denji se fue a esperar a Reze en la cafetería, pero ella nunca llegó porque cuando iba camino a decirle a Denji que aceptaba irse con él la emboscaron y fue atacada y asesinada en un callejón por Makima con el apoyo del Demonio Ángel justo cuando se dirigía a la cafetería para encontrarse con Denji. La razón de esta emboscada fue que Makima quería detener el reencuentro entre ambos, eliminando así cualquier posibilidad de que Denji y Reze pudieran escapar juntos. Makima, siendo planificó los eventos, buscaba mantener el control absoluto sobre Denji y neutralizar a Reze, quien representaba una amenaza y un obstáculo para sus planes.
La muerte de Reze ha sido una de esas muertes de un personaje ficticio que no he podido superar, lo que mas duele de todo esto es que Denji nunca se enteró que Reze fue emboscada, él solo pensó que Reze no fue a su encuentro porque no lo quería y eso en verdad es muy triste.
