And to the question of the contest: My Perfect Weekend.
All work and no play they say makes Jake a dull boy 👦. Haha 😂. This is one saying that is as old as my prime school days . Because in those days once we are tired of seating in the class and listening to the teacher, you will see the kids faces began to squeeze together, this means we need a brake to go out to play.
And before you know it, the bells 🔔 will began to ring and every one will began to flew out of the class for a fun 🤩 play and refreshments. Oh waoh! How can I forget those days?
And now as I adult and with the kind of job I do, working from Monday to Friday is never easy, so am always looking forward for the weekend to come which has also make me tune in to “Thank God Its Friday”. And this means that during the weekends we can take out time to rest and at the same time have fun 🤩.
But many of us believed that the weekend is just for resting because of how usually our work week are, yes! But I believe too that the weekends should be days we can also take out to enjoy ourselves and have fun 🤩 with family, loved 🥰 ones and friends. And since most companies do not work during the weekends , most functions and events are fixed on Saturdays and Sundays
If I Could Plan My Dream Weekend:
Saturdays mostly are one of the days in the weekends I love to go out to enjoy. So I always look up to attending one event or the other with either family or friends.
Since I will love to attend a function, I make sure to do the shopping 🛍 and grocery on Fridays evenings once am done with work, and at the same time will go to bed early enough to have enough rest through sleeping into Saturday morning.
Then by Saturday morning, I will start by cooking a big pot of tomatoes 🍅 sauce and vegetable soup 🍲 for the coming week which will be stored in refrigerator . Next will set the laundry 🧺 running and will make breakfast for everyone usually a light breakfast 🍳 which does not take too much of a time.
I usually will not want to attend any wedding 💒 church service but receptions which do starts by noon. So this will give me time to attend to few chores once am out of bed Saturday morning. And once it’s 11:00 am Saturday morning I will already be heading into shower 🚿 and out to start getting ready for the function of the day. It could be a birthday 🥳 party 🎈, wedding ceremony reception, celebration of life reception or a launch of any kind. Receptions are the main functions of every event where all the goodies are well enjoyed , discussions shared with smiles and laughters.
I love ❤️ to have fun 🤩 which helps me unwind and release off some stress so the weekends are usually perfect for me because going out to be with people apart from weekly work is one good 😊 way to bring smiles and laughter on our faces. We could also use this opportunity of attending functions to meet new friends and sometimes new clients that will bring and connect us to business . So all these are so much fun 🤩 for me.
Although sometimes I might be caught up with some work week that becomes so stressful that I will just decide to rest although Saturday since my Sundays are for early morning church service. And as a worker in one of the church departments, I must leave home to meet time schedules.
However, Sunday evenings are for family seat together for early dinner . And once dinner is over, its then movies until bed time arrives with another shower to hit the bed. A perfect weekend I always look forward to friends.
