Many people, even with what they need, believe that their life is worthless. I think that having a home, food, health and our body complete and functional; we enjoy a fortune that we could not afford.

Estoy de vacaciones, algo que he disfrutado mucho, aunque por los momentos sólo he estado en casa. Pero hoy decidí llevar a la empresa unas facturas de gastos médicos y colegio, para que me sean reembolsadas.
En la noche tuve mucho frío y casi no dormí. Se suponía debía levantarme temprano, pero no fue así.
Mi esposo preparó el desayuno, mientras yo me arreglaba para salir. Me tomé mi tiempo para comer y me fui.
I am on vacation, something I have enjoyed very much, even though I have only been at home for the time being. But today I decided to take some medical and school bills to the company to be reimbursed.
At night I was very cold and hardly slept. I was supposed to get up early, but I did not.
My husband prepared breakfast, while I was getting ready to go out. I took my time eating and left.

En poco tiempo ya solo quedamos tres perseverantes y entonces supe que era el momento propicio para hablar con la persona que repartió los números, quien siempre ha sido muy gentil.
It was likely that I wouldn't get a number to get my medical bill accepted, but I didn't worry. I am enjoying every day to the fullest, even the simplest things.
The line of people waiting to be seen was huge. They gave out 70 numbers (for only two qualified analysts) and I was not included in that lot. We were left with about 15 people without a place for today.
Most of them left, because they told us very explicitly that we would not be served. However, I stayed a while longer, with the intention of receiving the invoice I had, to be uploaded into the system tomorrow.
Before long, there were only three of us left, and I knew it was the right time to talk to the person who gave out the numbers, who has always been very kind.

Sólo le dije "Gracias", mirándola a los ojos y colocando mi mano sobre su brazo. Luego salí de allí.

Then she went to get a stapler from her boss's office, who was next door, and I listened as she informed her: I am going to receive the invoices of three people who were left outside. The boss replied in a loud voice: Don't take them! To which she replied: I will receive them and charge them myself! (She was not one of the analysts on duty today).
That was the end of the exchange of words.
I was a little shocked by the scene, but more, grateful. This girl, who I don't even know, stood up to her boss in order to serve us. Now that's dedication to service.
I just said "Thank you", looking her in the eyes and placing my hand on her arm. Then I walked out of there.
Fui muy afortunada, porque incluso si hubiera llegado a tiempo para tomar un número, habría tenido que esperar horas para ser atendida.
Siento que todo fluyó a mi favor. Haber llegado tarde al final me salió bien. Gracias a ese gesto de amabilidad que hizo perfecto mi día, pude hacer un montón de cosas más, que tenía planificadas para la mañana.
Tuve un motivo más para agradecer una y otra vez, a Dios y a esa amable empleada.
También supe que este sería mi tema para la iniciativa de hoy, porque todos tenemos razones para agradecer cada día, pero no todos somos capaces de verlas siempre y, reconocerlas, nos hace cambiar de actitud y estar abiertos para recibir más cosas positivas de la vida.
I was very fortunate, because even if I had arrived in time to take a number, I would have had to wait hours to be served.
I feel that everything flowed in my favor. Being late in the end worked out well for me. Thanks to that gesture of kindness that made my day perfect, I was able to do a lot of other things I had planned for the morning.
I had one more reason to thank again and again, God and that kind employee.
I also knew that this would be my theme for today's initiative, because we all have reasons to be thankful every day, but not all of us are able to always see them and, recognizing them, makes us change our attitude and be open to receive more positive things from life.
