Ayer mi esposo y yo recordábamos cuando dejamos a nuestra pequeña princesa en el preescolar, él tuvo la tarea de llevarla en sus brazos a la puerta del colegio y dejarla con la maestra, quien prácticamente se la arrancó de las brazos y le cerró la puerta en la cara, quedando él allí por un momento estático, con el corazón roto; mientras que yo estaba en el automóvil, con una sensación de vacío en mi corazón, que se manifestaba en lágrimas.
Cuando la inscribimos en ese colegio, la directora nos dijo que para evitar alargar el sufrimiento de los niños, las maestras los recibían y los ingresaban a la institución rápidamente, que cualquier cosa que quisiéramos decirles, teníamos que hacerlo antes de llevarlos a la puerta.
Es doloroso, pero entiendo que es lo mejor.
Al final, yo creo que los padres sufrimos más que nuestros hijos, cuando los dejamos esos primeros días en la escuela.
Our children grow up so fast... It is painful, but I understand that it is the best thing to do.
In the end, I believe that we parents suffer more than our children, when we leave them those first days at school.
