I stole the start, I visited the first Easter Market(2025) in Timisoara's Liberty Square (RO)
Hello travelers
As the title suggests, Easter is a very important holiday for Christians, from what I've read, it seems that the Catholic and Orthodox Easter are being celebrated on the same date this year, April 20, 2025.
So local authorities are racing to open the first of these traditional Easter Market, it seems that Timis County, our neighboring county has gone ahead and opened the Easter Market, from the local press we read that it takes place from March 23 to April 23.April.2025.
While in my county the Easter Market doesn't open until April 11, 2025, so I still have to wait, but until then I couldn't wait to visit the first Easter Market in my county, so I chose to go to the neighboring county to see what the local authorities are welcoming us with this year.
Honestly, before I get to the Easter Market I can tell you that I have high expectations from this market.
Why do I say that?
Online I've seen the same picture of thousands of people, it looks very good, so that convinced me to go to Timisoara, but also the Tunnel of Love (if you haven't seen the blog about the Tunnel of Love in Timisoara you can see it here).
This year's Easter Market takes place in Timisoara's Liberty Square, so from the place where I left the car until I reached my destination I had to pass through Victoriei Square (if you visit my older blogs you will find more posts from these places), here everything was calm, tourists and locals were walking around peacefully.
All around me I saw people eating ice cream (even though it wasn't that hot outside) and I had a craving for one, so I looked for the place where they were buying ice cream, but when I saw how long the queue is, honestly, my ice cream craving disappeared, hehe.
If you have a sweet tooth, here you'll find different pastries to satisfy your sweet tooth.
We walked briskly towards the other square, and on the way we saw lots of people gathered around some (very talented) street performers.
Even before we get to Liberty Square we already see Easter figurines, but I finally got to take that picture that I've seen on many people.
I think that on this street there are thousands of people doing the same thing, photographing the photo already famous(this is about the picture I started this blog with, I'm curious if you like it too).
A few steps later I discovered the stalls with the creations of craftsmen from several areas of Romania and a tourist tram, unfortunately when I got to it was in the period when I have to wait around half an hour to start the trip through the city center.
And in this market there were a lot of street artists, but also a lot of food, I couldn't resist the temptation, I bought a langos from a stall, aww it was very delicious (langos is a traditional Hungarian food, and I buy langos every time I visit these markets).
My dears, our visit to the first Easter Market in 2025 has come to an end, I hope you enjoyed it and I can't wait to see if other parts of the world organize such events.
THE END!
If you liked what you saw and read here please don't forget to give a LiKe, Follow, reBlog or a Comment, for all this I thank you, and until the next post I say goodbye.
P.S. The attached picture you have just seen are taken by me with my mobile phone(Samsung Galaxy S21), and the text is also designed by me.
Yours @triplug😉
