‎Honestly, this Enzo Fernández transfer story is getting really interesting.

‎And as a Chelsea fan, I don't even know whether I want this deal to happen or not.

‎Reports say Chelsea have given Manchester City until Friday at 5:00 pm UK time to meet the £120 million asking price and the payment conditions. If City don't agree before the deadline, Enzo stays at Chelsea.

‎And personally, I would not complain if that happens.
‎
‎Enzo has not been perfect since joining Chelsea. There have been games where I have watched him and thought, “This is not the Enzo we paid all that money for.” But at the same time, I don't think we should forget how much quality he has.

‎He is still only 25, and there is plenty of football left in him.
‎
‎What makes the situation more interesting is that Manchester City are looking at him as someone who could help replace Rodri. Even Enzo Maresca reportedly likes him and believes he would fit perfectly into his midfield.

‎I can understand why City want him.
‎
‎But from Chelsea's point of view, selling Enzo for £120 million is not exactly an easy decision either.

‎We paid £106.8 million for him back in January 2023, so if City are genuinely ready to pay £120 million, Chelsea would have to seriously consider it. That kind of money could be used to strengthen other areas of the squad.

‎Still, I'm not completely convinced that selling him is the right move.
‎
‎Sometimes players need stability and time, especially at a club like Chelsea where expectations are extremely high. Enzo has already shown that he can perform at the highest level. Maybe what he needs now is consistency around him and a system that brings out his best qualities.

‎So if Manchester City fail to meet Chelsea's deadline, I'm fine with Enzo staying.

‎For me, this is one of those transfers where both keeping the player and taking the money make sense afer all.
