‎💙 Finally, Chelsea Gave Me Something to Smile About! What a Win Against AC Milan 😍🔥 ‎

‎I won't lie, after watching Chelsea lose their last two pre-season games, I was not expecting too much from this one. Sometimes you just watch these pre-season matches without getting your hopes too high because you never really know what the manager is trying to test.

‎But yesterday was different.

‎Chelsea came out against AC Milan in Jakarta and gave us one of those performances that can put a smile on a fan's face. 3-0 against Milan! 😍

‎Yes, it's only pre-season, but come on... beating a big European club by three goals is still something worth enjoying. 😂

‎The player who really caught my attention was João Pedro.

‎The funny thing is that he had a big chance before half-time and somehow managed to put the ball over the bar. At that point, I was already thinking, "This is one of those days again." 😂

‎But the guy did not let that miss get into his head.

‎Just before half-time, he made up for it by heading home from Moisés Caicedo's corner. Then, barely a minute into the second half, he scored again from Pedro Neto's cross.

‎Two goals in two minutes of football.

‎That's the kind of striker reaction I want to see. Miss a chance, forget about it and keep looking for the next opportunity.

‎And speaking of Caicedo, our captain was not done either.

‎After providing the assist for the first goal, he eventually got his own name on the scoresheet with a beautiful volley from another corner. Suddenly, Chelsea were three goals ahead and I was sitting there wondering where this version of the team had been in the previous two matches. 😂

‎One thing I really enjoyed was our set pieces.

‎Chelsea scored only 10 goals from corners throughout the whole Premier League season last year, but somehow we scored two from corners against Milan in one game.

‎Maybe Austin McPhee is already cooking something. 👀

‎I also liked what I saw from Marco Palestra. The youngster looked comfortable at wing-back and was not afraid to take players on or move inside. He definitely gave us something to talk about.

‎Then Nicolas Jackson came on and almost scored. He hit the post after doing all the hard work himself.

‎Geovany Quenda also hit the woodwork, while Estevao came close late in the game also.

‎So, while I'm not going to start shouting "WE ARE WINNING THE LEAGUE!" just because we beat Milan in August 😂, this was definitely a much-needed performance.

‎After two defeats, Chelsea needed a reaction.

‎And yesterday, we got one.

‎Hopefully, this is a sign that Xabi Alonso is beginning to find the right balance and the players are starting to understand exactly what he wants from them.

‎For now, I will simply enjoy the win.

‎3-0 against AC Milan. João Pedro brace. Caicedo goal. Clean sheet.

‎Not a bad way to spend an afternoon as a Chelsea fan. 💙🔵

‎Come on Chelsea! 💙🔥
