Hi Hivers!!!
It's with great pleasure that I'm welcoming everyone to my blog and I hope you're doing well and and having a great day and I'm weekend.
While lying down at one corner of my room, then I reflect on the past and realized what I went through during my apprentice days and how life treat me.

When it comes to past, I believe everyone has their own, struggles, challenges and so on but this kind of experience is easier to share because it's already in the past the fact that it's one those things that shape you make it really worth to remember.
Learning plumbing engineering from my uncle was an experience I really don't want to forget at all because there are bad and good memories in it. Living with my parents is totally different from living with a relative and that's my opinion though because I believe no one can treat you better than your parents if you're fortunate to have one because there are also bad parents.
Right from my childhood stage, I don't live with my parents but with my father's brother even despite the fact that we're living in the same town. There are many things I learned from them and that's where I built the foundation of my knowledge when it comes to dealing and interacting with peoples. Being it endurance, patience, and so on..
After I'm done with my secondary school in year 2011, I left to live with my uncle in the town, but my mindset is on to get into the university or polytechnic. After some week of staying with my uncle, he invited me to his room and asked me "Did you want to go to school or learn plumbing"? I paused for minutes because all in my mind is to get into university or polytechnic like I said earlier.
So my response is that, I want to do both since they don't affect each other. He looked me in the face and said you will start following me to work henceforth because he is a professional plumbing engineer and one of the best in the town. So I agreed, because I don't want to be a liability just sitting at home and it's free since I don't need to pay to learn the job unlike other people coming from neighboring town to learn the work. I believe that becoming an expert in the job will serves as a side hustle for me when I eventually got admitted in to university.
While following my uncle around to his plumbing job, I was able to know and identify tools and plumbing materials with ease in just a month. At that time, he left me to do the hard part of the job, like digging for laying pipes, chiseling the wall and many more which I believe it's normal for an apprentice since you don't know much about the job.
After six months, I'm already becoming better and know the needful when it comes to plumbing. I'm already carried away and focus in plumbing job since I'm unable to get admission into university and my uncle don't even care about it since he only attended primary school, so hate it when you talked about education and going to school around him.
As time goes by, I'm already becoming more expert in plumbing job and sometimes my uncle will assign me to lead a plumbing job at the site since I'm a senior with other apprentice because at that time he already started having trust in my plumbing job and that's also give me more confidence to do more.
Since I'm living together with my uncle, I will be the one to wash the car everyday which I think it's normal since I'm apprentice and we both ride in it. Every Sunday, I washed the clothes he used for the week and I will have to cook because at that time, his wife has die while giving birth to her second child. She had die before I even moved in with my uncle.
While learning plumbing job, I continue to the chores at home also. But the painful part is no matter what I did, this man will never praise or appreciate it but instead, he keep badmouthing me and at that time I almost give up on myself.
In 2014, I was granted an admission into one college of education (NCE) in the form of scholarship. Though I have once been granted such admission before through JAMB but I don't want to settle for less because my thought was to get admitted into university or polytechnic. Though this one is different since it's scholarship and looking back to the years I have been seeking an admission. I gladly accept the offer and I'm one of those that passed the entrance examination since the school is new and we're the first set.
Things get tough for me when I started, because deep down my uncle is not happy about it and I'm faced with a lot of challenges, especially financially because the school offer a scholarship on the paper but it's all lies as they used that as marketing to lure students which they successful did.
At some point, I couldn't afford to buy handout, tuition fee and other expenses since no one is ready to help and at that time my parents are also financially handicap. My uncle couldn't help since I'm not available like I used to and when I'm available, he won't take me a long since I will be pay daily because that time, I have already reached a level of freedom.
The last semester at school was toughest for me that I feel like dropping out at that time since help don't come especially for tuition fee and exam is around the corner. I later went back to village and sold cashew to sort myself out.
After my convocation, I thought of travelling to Lagos and that was 2018, before that my uncle has already gave the freedom certificate and his prayers. When I told my uncle about the traveling, he is sad but all he could say was ok. He stopped paying for the job I did giving different excuses that the site owner have not paid him because he believes that if stopped paying me, then I won't be able to travel if I don't have the transport fare but I have already had my plan.
And that's how Ieft my uncle and my boss back in year 2018 but all what I went through while I'm with him really shaped me for the future that I'm always prepared for what to come. All my thoughts about him that time was that he his treating me badly even at some point he does but not knowing I'm building myself for the future and I'm really grateful.
Thanks For Stopping By On My Blog And Have A Wonderful Day
