‎Stop Worrying About What You Can’t Control ‎

‎Hello Hives,

‎Sometimes, I think we make life harder for ourselves by worrying too much about things that are completely out of our control.

‎I have caught myself doing this several times. You think about what someone said, what someone did, an opportunity that did not work out, money that has not come yet, or something that happened in the past. You keep thinking about it, hoping that somehow you can change the situation.

‎But the truth is, you can't change everything.

‎There are things in life that will simply happen whether we like them or not. People will surely make their own decisions. Some opportunities will come and go. Some plans will fail. Sometimes, despite putting in your best effort, things still won't go according to plan.

‎What can we do about it?

‎For me, I believe the better approach is to focus on the things that are actually in my hands.

‎I can control my actions.

‎If I want something to change, I have to ask myself what I can do about it instead of sitting around complaining. Maybe I can't solve the whole problem today, but I can do something little. I can make an attempt, learn something new, ask for help, or try again.

‎I can also control my mindset.

‎This one is not always easy. When things are going badly, it is normal to feel discouraged or frustrated . We are human beings, after all. But I don't think we should allow a difficult moment to convince us that everything is over.

‎Sometimes a bad season is just a bad season.

‎And then there is our energy.

‎I have learned that not everything deserves my attention. There are arguments that won't change anything. There are people you can explain yourself to a hundred times and they still won't understand you. There are situations you simply have to accept and move on from.

‎Why waste all your energy there?

‎I would rather use that energy to work on myself, my goals and the things that actually matter to me.

‎Life is already unpredictable enough. We don't need to make it even heavier by trying to control everything around us.

‎So, when things don't go the way you expected, take a breath and ask yourself one simple question:

‎“What can I actually control here?”

‎Maybe you can't control the situation, but you can control your next move.

‎And sometimes, that next move is all you need.
