I live naked and barefooted, very close to Earth and Nature, in an 18-acre, off-grid, clothing-optional, food-forest intentional community (GaiaYoga Gardens), way out in the jungles of Lower Puna, far East Big Island, Hawai'i, and I have for more than 6 years now. Although there are many challenges, I love my life, and I'm immensely grateful to live where and how I do, on my own terms! I would not want to live any other way! 😁🙏💚⚡💥🔥✴️✳️❇️👣🌱✨🤙
Warm greetings all! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
In a recent post I contrasted the more quick-and-focused manner of investing with my own slower, more well-rounded approach. One of the primary reasons that I invest and leverage assets the way that I do is to create as many streams of steady, sustained, and ever-growing income, across as many investment domains, as I possibly can, with the intention of building a solid financial foundation, from which I can then expand, invest, and leverage more strongly and flexibly.
This has been working quite well, but it's not a rapid process without large investment capital. Compounding interest and exponential growth are wonderful, magical things, however, and with periodic influxes and strategic investments of assets in different areas, this Hive Multi-Stream Passive-Income Machine is really starting to hum along nicely.
The thing is, I'm all-in on Hive for the long haul™, and as such I have immense patience as I slowly build my financial empire over time. Yes, it may be cool to focus all of my efforts on attaining massive Hive Power or HBD in Savings quickly, but where does that leave me anywhere else? That's too one-sided, or lop-sided, for my tastes. I need a whole heck of a lot more depth and breadth, as well as flexibility and versatility, in my investment strategy than that.
I play the long, steady Hive game, with periodic focused leveraging and investing to boost my standing in various key areas, which continues to both increase my multi-stream income, and to accelerate its growth. Yes, my well-rounded financial base will be more modest in the early and mid stages than that of those who adopt a more focused approach, but when I do finally reach great financial heights, it will be everywhere, across all investment domains. Yep, that sounds pretty sweet to me.
On a very positive note, my last batch of 100+ SPS unstaked from Splinterlands this morning, which I then sent to Hive Engine to swap half of it for DEC, to then add to the DEC:SPS pool. I'm happy to report that this last large injection of assets has finally taken me past the payout threshold to receive pool fees in that pool, and they're surprisingly (or unsurprisingly, give the pool's liquidity and trading/swap volume) good. So now, aside from continuing to add liquidity to it daily, my assets in this pool are also now growing on their own. Excellent indeed.
Yesterday, Monday, I was feeling a bit off and out of balance, so after finishing up my Hive tasks, I ended up taking an hour-and-a-half nap, which thankfully helped immensely. I finally left the Flow House around 3:30PM, giving some attention to photography for these posts, and sunbathing on the trampoline in the Peanut Lawn (the nap and sunbathing made me feel good again, restoring my balance), first. After sunning for a short while, I went to the upper coco bar to chop and dump bad/used coconuts, and to tidy up the area a bit. When I had that done, I spent some time in my nursery up-potting some seedlings (marigold and Hawaiian wood rose) and weeding. It feels best to do a little work in my nursery every day, though I'm still working on the every day part. After working in my nursery, I took a shower, made myself some food (spiced and seasoned ground beef, eggs, pepperjack cheese, onions, tomatoes, pickles, and sea salt, cooked in olive oil and pickle juice), and with that and my jar of leftover superfood fire coffee in hand(s), I headed back to the Flow House to ease into my evening Hive tasks, and to catch up on my notifications. I had a lot, and I had to pause for an hour to attend the Monday community logistics meeting, so I wasn't able to get through them all before I had to stop around 11:30PM, to do some asset management, and to go to bed just after 12AM. I woke up a little after 7AM, having slept reasonably well, doing more asset management, getting out of bed around 7:30AM to go make my superfood fire coffee in the Landing, taking a few photos in the lovely morning light, and finally heading back to the Flow House to write this post. It's now just after 1:15PM, so a wonderful time to end this post, so that I may get to my few other important Hive tasks, before leaving the Flow House a bit later in the afternoon, to focus first on photography for my posts, straining kefir in the Landing, and then community/land work. I deeply appreciate y'all so very much! Until tomorrow's iteration of these posts! Always forward, onward, upward, and whaleward, ho, together we go! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
2025 Life Goals
1.) Do regular integral practices again, alone or with others.
2.) Prepare regular batches of my medicinal teas collected from the land again.
3.) Make my plant nursery, and the gardens, beautiful again.
4.) Begin learning relevant coding/programming languages to more fully contribute to the sovereignty-driven technologies where I am active, like Arch Linux, Hive, Qortal, DeSo, and Bastyon.
All photos were taken with my Motorola G Play 2024 Android Phone.
Thank you all so much who have helped me get to where I am today, and allowing me to share more of the beauty and magic from my life and my world with you, and for your continuous appreciation and support! I am truly deeply grateful! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
