I live naked and barefooted, very close to Earth and Nature, in an 18-acre, off-grid, clothing-optional, food-forest intentional community (GaiaYoga Gardens), way out in the jungles of Lower Puna, far East Big Island, Hawai'i, and I have for more than 7 years now. Although there are many challenges, I love my life, and I'm immensely grateful to live where and how I do, on my own terms! I would not want to live any other way! 😁🙏💚⚡💥🔥✴️✳️❇️👣🌱✨🤙

Warm greetings all! 😁🙏💚✨🤙

We currently have a large tropical storm passing though our area, and it's brought lots of rain and wind with it. Since we knew that it would be arriving soon, we prepared ourselves the best that we could in the time that we had yesterday. I pre-evacuated the Flow House, moving all of my technology, and that of a friend who's traveling, to the Kasbah, where it would stay the driest. I also spent some time putting down the rain tarps, and battening down the Flow House, before the brunt of the rain and winds arrived.

I did my nightly Hive tasks, and I slept, in the Kasbah last night, so that I wouldn't potentially have to evacuate the Flow House with my technology in the middle of the night. It's been raining on and off, with some quite strong gusts of wind, since late yesterday afternoon, though it's definitely a bit more intense at the moment.

The tropical storm is seemingly quite massive, larger than the Big Island itself, and there's still uncertainty whether the eye of the storm will reach landfall. That hasn't happened in about 150 years, and I'm fine with it being 151 years! The weather is usually lovely here, though it can get a little crazy from time to time!

We've already received over an inch of rain so far, and if the storm does make landfall, the we may get as much as 20 inches of rain! Very thankfully where we live it can't flood, since it's all just porous lava below us, so the rain goes straight down into the ground.

Needless to say, I hope and pray that the Flow House comes through this in one piece. The winds haven't been too intense yet, so I've got my fingers crossed! Since the structures here have no walls or windows, the outside environment feels a whole lot closer! I just got word that this tropical storm has now been upgraded to a level 1 hurricane. Oh joy. Well, we'll see how it goes, and I hope that y'all are enjoying lots more sunshine than I am currently!

Yesterday, Friday, I left the Flow House, after finishing up my Hive-Blurt-'We Are Alive Tribe' tasks, by a little after 2:30PM, giving my attention first to some photography for my posts. Once I had a nice batch of shots, I focused on harvesting a rack of bananas, and replacing a young papaya that had died with another in the durian orchard. With those completed, I spent the rest of the day preparing for the incoming storm, wrapping it up just before sunset, after which I went to Wabisabi to make myself some food, to collect my leftover superfood fire coffee from the fridge, and with those in hands to head to the Kasbah to scan my X feed a bit more, and to begin my evening Hive tasks. I got through all of my notifications by just after 9:45PM, and after one more scan of my X feed, I went to sleep by 11PM. I woke up a bit after 7AM, still feeling that I needed more sleep, braving the weather to go prepare my superfood fire coffee in Wabisabi, then returning to the Kasbah to write this post. It's now just before 11:45AM, so it's a marvelous time to wrap this up, so that I may attend to my few other important Hive-Blurt-'We Are Alive Tribe' tasks, and then I have no idea. Riding the storm out I imagine! I deeply appreciate y'all so very much! Until tomorrow's reincarnation of these posts! Always forward, onward, upward, and whaleward, ho, together we go! 😁🙏💚✨🤙

2026 Life Goals

1.) Do regular integral practices again, alone or with others.

2.) Prepare regular batches of my medicinal teas collected from the land again.

3.) Make my plant nursery, and the gardens, beautiful again.

4.) Begin learning relevant coding/programming languages to more fully contribute to the sovereignty-driven technologies where I am active, like Arch Linux, Hive, Qortal, DeSo, and Bastyon.
