Unfortunately, the English translations I know don't convey the exact meaning of this poem.
I'll just say that these are the poet's thoughts about himself at different ages—childhood, youth, and adulthood. And he believes that the soul at one age is very different from the soul at another age.
Gumilyov is good, but Yesenin resonates more with me, besides, here you need to understand the context about St. George and the fate of the poet himself
