Forgive and forget. That is forgive the offense done unto you and then forget about the offense. The heart of love should not remember offenses always. People say they can't forget the bad things that someone had done unto them. But we are queried why is it possible that we can remember that thing which is bad but we can't remember the good things that are done to us. There are people who have helped you when you where in the college but you can't recall their good works and appreciate them. This is not a good spirit. It is lack of love that makes people always remember bad things and forget good things.
I have come to realize that God Himself forget offenses. He said in His words that our iniquities will he remember no more. If God who is greater than all of us and whose memory is wider and bigger than that of any creation can still forget the iniquities of people when he forgives their sins, how come that we find it difficult to forget about the wrong things which people did to us. The reason why we can't forget the wrong things is because we are not living in love.
As christians, forgiveness is a virtue which we must exhibit. We must always forgive those who sin against us. We should not keep the scores of wrong. The Lord Jesus Christ told us that we must forgive if we want God to forgive us. Sometimes, it is not very easy to forgive but let us always try to keep a clean mind with others.
