We should be committed to the reading of our Bible just as we are committed to the things that concern our lives. Jesus Christ said that the word of God is the bread of life. So, just as we eat food daily without counting the times, we should always read the Bible that we. Just as we breathe in air for life, we should also breathe in the world of God that way. The air that we breathe in gives us physical life. The Word of God is our spiritual life. We must always have it in life and grow spiritually.
2 Timothy 2:15 (KJV) Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Also, the word of God enhances our spiritual maturity. We must mature spiritually. We cannot afford to remain babies forever. If we do not take in the meal of the word of God regularly, we will not be able to grow properly. Understanding the Bible is essential for our spiritual growth. How can we understand if we do not give ourselves to studying the Word of God regularly. We must always read the Bible. We must read the Bible daily. That is good for our spiritual growth and maturity.
