I came across this powerful painting recently and it stopped me in my tracks.It is not just art — it is a mirror held up to society.Look at it closely. On the same railway track, two completely different worlds exist side by side.
On the left: the overcrowded general coach.Men, women and children packed tighter than sardines. Some hang desperately from the doors, others squeeze through barred windows, while a few brave souls lie on the roof with their bags, exposed to the elements.The exhaustion, the struggle,the lack of dignity — it is raw and real. On the right: the AC Reserved Coach.Clean, spacious, air-conditioned comfort. One passenger sleeps peacefully in a private berth, another reads calmly under a soft lamp. Same train. Same destination. Entirely different journeys.
Trust me or not........Money matters in life.
This painting isn’t just about trains.It is a metaphor for how we navigate existence itself. Money doesn’t buy happiness,but it absolutely buys options, safety, comfort and peace of mind.It determines whether your daily commute is a battle for survival or a restful experience. It decides if you sleep on a hard floor or in a clean bed. It influences access to quality healthcare, education, legal protection and even basic respect in many parts of the world.
Think about it. The same way these two coaches roll on identical tracks, we all move through life’s journey. Yet the quality of that ride depends heavily on the “ticket” you can afford.The unreserved coach represents millions living paycheck to paycheck — constantly hustling, compromising and risking everything just to get by.The reserved coach symbolizes those with financial stability: the ability to rest, plan, and enjoy the ride.
This image hits hard because it exposes a truth many prefer to sugarcoat.We are often told “money is not everything” or “riches do not define you.” While those statements contain wisdom, they can also become convenient excuses to avoid facing financial reality. Money is a tool — perhaps the most powerful one in a material world.It amplifies opportunities. It reduces stress.It creates buffers against life’s inevitable storms.
