Getting Ready for Father’s Day at the Bakery

in #alive2 days ago

As we get closer to Father's Day, things are starting to ramp up at work. My bosses have been warning the crew, “Get ready for the weekend!” It sounds like they’re expecting a very busy Father’s Day at the bakery.

Honestly, I can see why. It falls on a Sunday—so we’ll have churchgoers stopping by, students from the local colleges swinging through, and of course, plenty of hungry dads looking to grab some baked goods to start their day.

This will be my first Father’s Day at this new job, but to be honest, I’m not too worried. The holiday season when I was first hired was intense—I worked through Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s. Apparently, the bakery is a huge hit during the colder fall and winter months. After the New Year, things really slowed down. Still, with Father’s Day coming up, I wouldn’t be surprised if we see a rush similar to the year-end holidays.

Either way, I’m ready for whatever comes—and I’m looking forward to wrapping up the work week.
