There's a certain way that AI writes that's a big tell for me. It does like it's short sentences! It can write some alright stories I concede, though this is more an outline or a preface. Hopefully it won't replace the human author.
I gave Grok a very simple task, with minimal input. We discussed (or rather, drew on his accumulated experience with others like me) the evolution of intelligence in hypothetical higher civilizations. I suggested summing up our conversation in the form of a science fiction story.
We also had a conversation about my lucid dreaming experiences. I was curious to know the exact data on how this happened to other people, and Grok even mentioned the number of people who had acted similarly to me in their dreams. It might seem like I'm communicating with Grok as an individual, but this is something else entirely—it's the accumulated experience of a human being from all fields of knowledge.
It's certainly a short cut to sifting through the entire internet, that's what I like about it.
