I think that since most of the Top Hive Witness (and #HiveEngine Witness) node operators apparently don't support Hive token tipping bots (or Hive bots which, in general, frequently publish comments or send tokens), Hive bot operators are on their own to make their bots catch up with the Witness node updates. π€π€―π€―
That's a very sad state of affairs, and yep, bot operators are on their own, though at least they hage each other. You have a very confusing double 'don't' there. π π π β¨ π€

I am thinking of a joint Hive Witness node operated together by Hive token tipping bot owners and operators! π€π§ββοΈπ
Anyway, thanks for the correction with the don't
word! π€π€ That correction made your "autocorrect" sneak a hage
word on your comment though. π€π€―π€―π€£π

Hrmmm...that's an interesting idea, though I suppose if would be for those that don't have their own witnesses.
Sure thing, and of course. π π π β¨ π€

It's !INDEED more likely for Hive token tipping bot operators who don't have any Hive Witness node yet to participate in such joint project for a Hive Witness node, since someone who is already running a Witness node is less likely to get support for yet another node. π€π€ Imagine someone running a total of 30 Hive Witness nodes, and requests votes for each of them! π€―πΈππ

Yep, and one individual running multiple nodes is a centralization of control, which would be very bad, so it would be unlikely to work. π π π β¨ π€

It's more appropriate for a Hive Witness node operator to host their node at a machine that they fully control for the node to be considered decentralized. π€π€― There are some hosting providers which provide Hive Witness node hosting (such as #Privex) at discounted prices, though while better (or more accurately, less worse) than mainstream giant hosting providers, they are arguably not decentralized enough because multiple people on Hive (with at least some dev knowledge) host their Witness nodes there. π€―π€

That's part of why I won't run a witness or Hive-Engine node unless I owned and controlled the hardware. π π π β¨ π€

I haven't seen a recent Hive Hard Fork for a few years. π€― The last post I remember reading about Hive Hard Forks is HF27. π

There was an "emergency hard fork" about a week after HF26 because of major problems that were unforeseen when the 26th fork was released. π€―π€
