The Unity Cup came to an end yesterday, with Nigeria once again winning it in grand style.

In my last post, I discussed who Nigeria's next opponent would be between Jamaica and India, as they were yet to play each other.
The match ended with Jamaica defeating India, which earned Jamaica the ticket to face Nigeria in the final.
People in Nigeria wanted and wished for India to win because we wanted to see a Nigeria vs India matchup, a repeat of one of the oldest and most famous football stories. It is said that the last time Nigeria met India, India won by 99 goals to nil. They also said the match was fiery and magical because the ball would turn into a rock whenever Nigeria wanted to kick it, and this was supposedly done through the magic of the Indians.
Nigeria vs Jamaica took place yesterday, featuring the same teams that played in the 2025 final.
This one ended in a 3-goal victory for Nigeria without reply. Yes, Jamaica 0:3 Nigeria, unlike the previous final, which was decided by a penalty shootout.
Nigeria lifted the trophy for the second consecutive time. What a groove!
