After more than one month and 104 matches, we have finally concluded the 2026 World Cup!

Let's review my final set of predictions!

  • France vs England: France to win - WRONG
  • Spain vs Argentina: Argentina to win - WRONG

Ouch. I got both wrong. But both matches were somewhat of a drama in their own way.

So my final tally is: 20 out of 32 correct

That's all the way from Round of 32 to the Finals. I wouldn't say this is impressive, in fact that's about 62.5% accurate. But at least that's better than 50%, which is like a coin toss. Haha.

Back to the World Cup, I mentioned previously that I didn't have a favourite team that I supported or wanted to win, so it was a pure entertainment event for me. And I think it definitely ticked all the boxes for entertainment value, controversies, goals, and the number of matches! Maybe having 48 teams isn't as bad as I thought... But now the authorities are thinking about 64 teams!? We might as well have a global competition in that case. Haha.

With that, see you guys in 4 years time! Thanks for following my journey of predictions this time too!

I think that a lot of things turned out a lot better than people thought they would. We are all a bunch of pessimists :)

Hehe that's true! Hahahaha ;)

Spain vs Argentina: Argentina to win - WRONG

Told you! 😃 🍻

Hehehe! 👍
