I'm currently on Desert Island and trying to upgrade to Volcano Island.
Current Chapter in the game is Crabs and Traps and it's Chapter number 13.
There are so many changes in the game, on daily basis, it's impossible to keep track of them all. I'll have to focus on few most important one for this post.
Crabs and Traps introduces new Rewards mechanism. There are two tracks to follow, free one and VIP one. If you have VIP access (which can be purchased with gems) you will get both free and VIP rewards as you progress. I buy VIP access every 3 months because there are more earning opportunities with it. When you do the math it is worth it to pay 1500 gems (around $15 usd) for VIP.
Floaters are items you collect in this Chapter. You can use them to participate in Raffles, weekly event.
There are 40 levels for rewards. I'm currently at level 11 and I have 864 floaters in the stock. Rewards are different from level to level, you can get coins, more floaters, chapter tickets, keys.
Level 20 has good reward 1x Pearl Bed which gives +1 Farmhand, game helper and that's the one I'm chasing in this chapter. Off course higher the level, better the rewards. Final level 40 gets you pet egg, for VIP track and 1x Oaken for free track. The Oaken is excellent reward, gives +25% chance for +1 Acorn. Total amount of points needed to reach level 40 is 31.3k.
Back to Raffles. There are 100 rewards per raffle. Everything from Pet Egg, upgrades like Corn Silk Hair and Crimstone Clam to food boxes and gems.
In raffles where top rewards are Bud NFTs (two of them) unfortunately you can't use floaters to enter.
