My Assessment |

Uyo Hive/SpendHBD Team is growing! Growth is synonymous to progress, and progress involves advancement through a series of plan events. Over the past weeks leading up to two months now since #spendHBD announces its entry Into the prestigious city of Uyo by the amiable guider @ijelady, there have been series of events every week towards creating awareness of hive/spendhbd; getting shops and business owners to accept and list their businesses on spendHBD to accept HBD payment for goods bought; signing up new hivians through spendhbd using #thedistriator and as well as training of newbies on how to successfully navigate the hive ecosystem.
My first day with the Uyo team
Of a truth, this has not been an easy ride task judging from the fact that there are series of other personal engagements, but with commitment and determination couple with good team efforts, cooperation among team members and the individual readiness to readjust their schedules not minding the cost, distance and personal comforts to attend events have contributed immensely to this progressive growth being witness. Of course challenges abounds but the determination to succeed overshadows them all, and until the tree falls to the ground the machetes and axe will not rest!
Attending SpendHBD Training Seminar And Signing Up A New Hivian |
---|
27th February 2025 at 24 Mbak Road Ifa Atai, Uyo saw the successful hosting of another SpendHBD Training Seminar. A handful of hivians attend the seminar and I was opportune to be there. True to it's notice and advert, the seminar was very educative, resourceful and eye opener to both the existing hivians and the invited persons who at the end decided to sign up right away.
Series of questions were ask by the listed shops owners and other hivians based on their individual challenges and the answers were given satisfactory by @ijelady and other contributors.
Though not all my invited guests were able to attend because of individual engagements, but @jahswill25 accepted signing up right there which I did. Since the other part of the seminar was practical on how to shop using thedistriator, we then move to two of the listed shops nearby - Emy's Boutique and Madam Success Provision Foodstuff Store - and carry out the practical shopping and payment with HBD using #distriator app. @jahswill25 was able to practice it with her newly signed up account, shopping some foodstuff and claiming a cashback.
Winning A Cash Prize |

There were some incentives given to those who meets some targets. I received ₦200 - 0.499 #hive and another ₦1000 - 2.496 #hive respectively for arriving the seminar venue on time as well as bringing a guest who signs up.
@jahswill25 also receive a cash prize for coming and signing up at the moment. Others equally receive theirs according to the category they fits in. This is a nice initiative on the part of @ijelady to show that hive is a talk and do blockchain and by extension there are enough opportunities on Hive for anyone in any community to build a legacy on. I really appreciate it and it is a call for more action on my part.
Conclusively, the day's seminar activities was a huge success all through. I look forward to attending another successful event as we progress in building a formidable Hive/SpendHBD team in Uyo. Besides that, looking forward to having a HBD shopping outlet own by the team!
