Onboarding A Newbie || Training/Mentoring
Passion is the vehicle that propel an individual to engage in an act even at an ugly or uncomfortable situation. This week have been an hectic week for me from the early hours of the day till returning late in the evening. But even in the face of these facts I out of passion for hive blockchain and a sense of duty honor the call of @rosenurse to come around and onboard a newbie.
When I was contacted on Wednesday about the interest development by the individual and her readiness to join the Hive big family I promise them to come around on Thursday, but as situation play itself out I couldn't make it because I returned from my journey very late drenched by the heavy downpour, so I call to reschedule the meeting to Friday judging from the fact that the individual will be traveling back to Rivers State on Saturday.
Today not minding the rain that dominated the whole working hours from morning till the evening, I out of sence of dusting made my way to their location and carried out the onboarding of @enovic12 into Hive through the @distriator's app on Keychain in SpendHBD community.
Mentoring
It's one thing to provide someone with a fishing net, it is quite another thing to teach and educate the person on how to effectively use the net for successful catch. Aside from the peripheral information provided before the onboarding, I took some time to educate her on how the platform works, it's advantages and the modalities of creating quality post devoid of plagiarism. @rosenurse also share her experiences in the few weeks she had been on the Hive blockchain and promised to tell more people.
The whole exercise was a bunch of success and they all were happy. Even though her phone went off as she was working on her introduction post, she left for home to charge her phone and continue the introduction post.
I feel fulfilled that I have been able to render the needed training and onboarding of a newbie to the Hive blockchain.
Looking forward to providing her with more training till she can confidently navigate the Blockchain on her own. The pleasure to do it is always mine.
