Today marked the first conference day of HiveFest 10, and what a fantastic beginning it was!
From the very moment I stepped into the conference hall, I was absolutely blown away by the setup.

The space was visually stunning, and the stage was so huge that it made my friend @roelandp look incredibly tiny on it.

Kudos to the speakers who had to present in such a vast space.
It was clear that every little detail had been planned to make this edition of HiveFest something memorable again. This includes the buffet, which was another highlight of the day.

Elegantly presented, with dishes that combined Asian flavors, it was a feast for both the eyes and the taste buds. I’ve attended many HiveFests before, but the culinary experience here in Kuala Lumpur easily ranks among the best.
During the lunch break, we were also treated to a virtual art exhibition. As I mentioned before, the visual effect was perfect.

One of the most heartwarming moments of the day was meeting my Malaysian friends again, after so many years. The last time we met was at HiveFest in Bangkok back in 2019, six years ago! And yet, when we saw each other again, it was as if no time had passed at all.
That’s the beauty of the Hive community: the friendships built here are genuine.
After a deserved nap at the Hotel, I decided to head out to Da Bao, a trendy bar and restaurant just a short walk from the conference venue. Compared to the previous evening’s lively opening drink, the atmosphere tonight was more relaxed. We sat around sharing drinks and delicious Baos.
Just outside the presentation venue and the Da Bao stood one of Kuala Lumpur’s iconic towers. I took the opportunity to snap a few photos, one set during the day with the sun blazing in the sky, and another at night when the city lights painted the tower in dazzling colors. The contrast between day and night in Kuala Lumpur is magical.

Tomorrow promises to be a major day as HiveFest opens its doors to participants from ChainCulture, with around 500 attendees expected. The energy will be on another level, and we will have the chance to step into our role as true ambassadors of Hive.
I’m especially eager to see how this new event format, a collaboration between HiveFest and ChainCulture envisioned by @roelandp, will play out. It’s a new experiment and I’m confident it will leave a lasting impression on everyone who attends.
On to HiveFest Conference Day 2. Let’s make it unforgettable too!
