The Solstice arrived this morning for me like a deep breath.
This was a pause between shadows and returning light.
In times like these, fear loves to dress itself up as revelation. It whispers of doom, insists on secret knowledge, and feeds on our frayed nerves. To use a crypto related term, FUD is everywhere.
Our celestial visitor 3I/Atlas — which seems to have struck fear and anxiety into the hearts and souls of many — was never a harbinger of endings. It was a reminder of endings to fear.
The so called "Truther" movement likes to spread vile and inflated reminders of humanity's darkest moments and seems to want to engage us in feeling anxiety over the darkest corners of the most disgusting behaviors all-the-while ignoring the patently obvious suffering not disguised everywhere else.
I'm confused as to why people aren't struggling more for the starving and abused orphans we can see on the news, rather than those indistinct shadows whispered about in bizarre online chat forums for the occult.
It's a distraction.
3I/Atlas did not come to crush the world. If anything, it came to loosen the grip of those who profit from dread, confusion, and the constant drumbeat of “be afraid.”
Doom is not truth.
Panic is not wisdom.
And loud certainty is not the same thing as insight.
The more people crow about the secret societies, the more I worry for society. Period.
Across every holy day, every sacred season, every spiritual path, the message is strangely consistent: light returns.
Compassion matters.
Community heals.
We are not meant to turn on one another or swallow rumors that rot the heart. We are meant to remember who we truly are when the noise dies down.
So let us choose cheer as a form of courage. Let us refuse to amplify vile, dehumanizing, and possibly false stories that masquerade as "awakening" while leaving people anxious and divided. Truth does not need hysteria to survive. Love does not require an enemy to battle against.
On this Solstice, may we stop spreading shadows and start sharing warmth. May we trade fear for discernment, outrage for kindness, and suspicion for grace.
The world is not ending. The light is turning back toward us. And we get to decide what we carry forward together. That's what the message was for me to share from that rock hurtling through space.
It said, "Ask: are you thinking? Are you growing?"
Whatever your choice of celebrations might be for these holy days ahead, blessings to everyone from my heart to yours!
@denmarkguy knew that I've wanted sweet lit up trees for our garden, for years. It was my Holiday Gift, and so I share the fairy lights with you!
