Reading was a passion when young, have a library card to take a book once a week. All schools had a small library as well, reading, using the imagination or researching to build something, always rewarding.

Much like you, it is sad this era is dying, many children are not able to read nor write, basics of arithmetic another almost forgotten with calculators now available.

Books were our only source of information or outlet to learn more, newspapers were of honest in most cases, now one has to fact check everything.
