Well, cows are only supposed to produce milk while they're suckling their calves. The milking process extends that notably, so there needs to be a longer rest period afterward. πππβ¨π€

Given how much one cow eats every day, we don't have enough space for more than one at a time. There also aren't really enough people to milk them reliably. πππβ¨π€
