The Silverbloggers Chronicles - # 32 - What do you remember feeling on your first day of school?

Our second home is our school. This is what, I was hearing since my childhood from our teachers. True to these words, reminiscing those golden days became more alive, when my children started their schooling

Greetings dear Hiveans and members of #Silverbloggers community. Wishing you all a great day ahead.

This Reminds me of my school festive celebrations, this picture captured lately in a function

My schooling started in a nearby kindergarten school, run by an Anglo Indian. And my Aunt was the one dropping me and my older brother to school. As I was growing, I used to hear from her, how much I troubled her and how innocent was my brother.

She used to say the moment I enter the school gate, I used to scream. During lunch time she comes with hot lunch to serve, she was kind enough to make rice balls, so that I could eat them without spoiling my uniform. But the worst part was I used to keep them in one side of the mouth and after lot of pampering, I eat them. Now my Aunt is getting old, but once a while she reminds me of all these troubled moments.

Friends from school days. Meeting after 30 years

Believe it or not, there is one thing which still remains as an evergreen in my memory. While in Kindergarten our short breaks were utilised to go out and play. To say, there was this beautiful white sand, in the centre of the square shaped building. And a slide in one corner.

I loved playing in the white sand a lot. Most often, I used to remove my socks and fill it with sand. By the time I reach home, a lot of questions from Mom and Aunt, as to how the sand reached the socks. But I used to run away and I could remember a cane chasing me.

My father being a Defense personnel, I had to study in the Defense school, from KG to Senior secondary. So each time there was a transfer, we used to get new friends, while some of them were very adjustable few of them were arrogant.

It was indeed a good experience, because we get to meet peoples from different states of India with different culture and tradition. Simultaneously, we were smart enough to learn more languages. Most probably, we were a group of 5 to 6 thick friends , who were together, from primary to college level.

These are just part of my early memory. Please enjoy sharing your own memories here

Thankyou for your time and patience.
