Spending a rainy afternoon?
Too many things scroll through my mind, when it rains. Especially afternoons after lunch, it becomes a very lazy day for me. If in office, I literally feel like sleeping while doing nothing.

Hot cardamom tea on one of our trips, in a small tea hut
If at home I would like to have a hot of tea and any fried item, a bit spicy and tangy. And one of the apt one we do is the large green chillies. Usually, we slit them lengthwise in two equal halves and add some hot pepper and tamarind in between and dip them into a thick batter made of Gram flour. Your hot fritters arr ready for the cold rain. And please do have with hot cardamom tea.

A famous Indian snack called Panipuri which is so apt for a rainy season. This was on the way to Rameshwaram, Tamil Nadu
Given a chance I would like to go back to my school days, where like any students universally, would like to welcome rain. And especially if its an afternoon hour, we do not like to continue with our classes. We would rather enjoy the rains through the windows.
The best part was when we got punishment in class, we were asked to remain out of the class, until the class was over. Not to say, those were the best moments we enjoyed.
When it rains heavily, the school will declare an emergency half a day leave. Me and my friends make it a point, not to skip a single puddle. By the end of the journey, our pinnaform is fully wet with puddles. I remember getting a severe warning from Mother, not to repeat this,
Sometimes, during this season me and my husband enjoyed having hot tea from street vendors. The aroma is too good to resist. And it could smell from quite a few distance away from the vendor. That's the magic of rain probably.
These are my few countable memories on a rainy season.
All photos captured are my own. Thankyou dear friend for your utmost patience and time.
