I remember my mother telling me that there is no point worrying about something you can't control.
That is great advice too. You are a great father so the fact you worried so much about making sure your kids have everything worked in your favour as they always did. I am glad you worry less now though Irvin!

She was a very calm woman and had a gentle nature, so although I and she probably had no idea about Stoic wisdom. I think much of what we learnt as children now has fancy names for it. But it is not new. A big hug Irvin!
