It's incredible how similar stories can be.
I had a Physics teacher named Lourdes, who was a monumental woman, and I happened to sit at the front desk, and the least I did was pay attention. I spent her classes imagining what I could do if I had her in my arms, even though my teenage years couldn't have done much.
I didn't have the relationship you had with Miss Curtis, nor the opportunity to express anything to her, because after the first semester of the course, she left, and I never saw her again.

I often remember happenings from my school days and am now wise enough to see how important each one was for my development. I think you could probably say the same.
