Ayer, fue un día diferente porque mi madre estuvo de cumple; ya son 75 años y por ende, lo celebramos como a ella le gusta.
Esta ha sido un año superdifícil, lleno de retos, angustias y muchas "batas blancas". Su salud ha ido en detrimento, por eso nos tomamos un tiempo para respirar y decir ¡Hoy se celebra!
Yesterday was a special day because it was my mother's birthday. She is now 75 years old, so we celebrated it the way she likes. This has been a very difficult year, full of challenges, anxieties, and many “white coats.” Her health has deteriorated, so we took some time to breathe and say, “Today we celebrate!”
Inicié limpiando y acomodando el espacio para poder colocar la torta. En años anteriores, teníamos una mesa, y ahora un mesón, que coloqué los objetos alusivos al cumpleaños. Menos mal que en mi casa siempre se celebra y por ese motivo, tengo preparado mis platos, vasos hasta la banda de ¡HAPPY BIRTHDAY! 💯.
En el trabajo, sus compañeros le regalaron una torta, ya que otra amiga tiene un emprendimiento, y por lo tanto, no debía comprar una. Sin embargo, teníamos en mente salir a comprar otras cosas como refrescos, dulces, vasos, algunas cosas que faltaban y almorzar porque ya era mediodía y ese día en la casa no se cocinaba. However, we had in mind to go out and buy other things like soft drinks, candy, cups, some things that were missing, and lunch because it was already noon and no one was cooking at home that day. We decided to buy something to eat at home: soup and fried rice.

En el caso del regalo, mi mamá no es la típica que dice "lo importante es su presencia", o "mi mejor regalo son ustedes", pues no, mi madre le gustan que le regalen y la agasajen, por eso su cumpleaños es un momento muy preciso para poder regalarle algo especial.
Les cuento que este regalo no es cualquier regalo, también está condicionado saliendo de la típica ropa de dormir de señora o alguna crema para el dolor. Ella es muy coqueta y actualizada, siempre le gusta vestir bien y estar a la moda, por eso, para evitarme problemas, la llevé a una tienda que me gusta para hacer regalos en mi ciudad.
Ella ya me había dicho que quería una cartera de sobre y allí la venden. También, yo tenía pendiente, cambiarle un bolso negro que ya esta viejo pero a ella le gusta para salir al mercado o al centro. No es por nada, pero estaba muy feo.
No fue difícil que se enamorara de una cartera, porque allí las venden muy bonitas; de hecho, le gustó ese modelo en negro, pero como ya le estaba regalando un bolso negro, le di esta opción y la aceptó.
Luego, pasamos por un sitio nuevo donde vendían zarcillos y le compré un empaque. Ya con todo lo adquirido, lo que quedó fue cumplir año y colocarse el outfit. Por mi parte, rescaté el Día de la Madre que no le di algo físico y se la debía y por el otro, su regalo de cumpleaños sé que es algo que usará y se verá siempre elegante:

She had already told me she wanted an envelope clutch, and they sell them there. I also needed to replace an old black bag that she likes to take to the market or downtown. It's not for nothing, but it was really ugly.
It wasn't hard for her to fall in love with a purse because they sell really nice ones there. In fact, she liked that model in black, but since I was already giving her a black bag, I gave her this option and she accepted it. Then we stopped by a new place that sold earrings, and I bought her a pair. With everything purchased, all that was left was to celebrate her birthday and put on the outfit. For my part, I made up for not giving her anything physical on Mother's Day, which I owed her, and on the other hand, I know that her birthday gift is something she will use and always look elegant in:
