👩🍳 ¡Hola! ¡Hola! 👩🍳
Yesterday was a special day because it was my mother's birthday. She is now 75 years old, so we celebrated it the way she likes. This has been a very difficult year, full of challenges, anxieties, and many “white coats.” Her health has deteriorated, so we took some time to breathe and say, “Today we celebrate!”

I started by cleaning and tidying up the space so I could set up the cake. In previous years, we had a table, and now we have a counter, where I placed the birthday decorations. Luckily, we always celebrate birthdays at my house, so I have my plates and cups ready, even ones with “HAPPY BIRTHDAY” written on them. At work, her coworkers gave her a cake, since another friend has a business and therefore didn't have to buy one. However, we had in mind to go out and buy other things like soft drinks, candy, cups, some things that were missing, and lunch because it was already noon and no one was cooking at home that day. We decided to buy something to eat at home: soup and fried rice.

Thanks to Cashea (credit payment), which is a great relief for Venezuelans, we were able to afford everything we needed:
Once at home, we finished putting everything in order and waited for the guests to arrive. What happened? IT RAINED CATS AND DOGS ALL OVER THE CITY! What should have been a brief shower turned into almost five hours of intense rain that prevented us from singing happy birthday and sharing what we had prepared. For this reason, we didn't take any group photos, but instead we exchanged hugs for a video call, which we are already used to in this country.

My mom is a brave and strong woman; I look at everything we've been through this year and she deserved to have a different kind of day. Maybe things didn't turn out as we planned at the beginning, but it could have been worse because there are people who are no longer with us today, so even for them, WE HAD TO CELEBRATE! 💐.

When it comes to gifts, my mom isn't the type to say, “It's the thought that counts,” or “You are my best gift.” No, my mother likes to be given gifts and pampered, which is why her birthday is the perfect time to give her something special. I should mention that this gift is not just any gift; it's also not the typical women's sleepwear or pain relief cream. She is very stylish and up-to-date, always likes to dress well and be fashionable, so to avoid any problems, I took her to a store I like to buy gifts in my city. She had already told me she wanted an envelope clutch, and they sell them there. I also needed to replace an old black bag that she likes to take to the market or downtown. It's not for nothing, but it was really ugly.
It wasn't hard for her to fall in love with a purse because they sell really nice ones there. In fact, she liked that model in black, but since I was already giving her a black bag, I gave her this option and she accepted it. Then we stopped by a new place that sold earrings, and I bought her a pair. With everything purchased, all that was left was to celebrate her birthday and put on the outfit. For my part, I made up for not giving her anything physical on Mother's Day, which I owed her, and on the other hand, I know that her birthday gift is something she will use and always look elegant in:

Final reflection CELEBRATE LIFE! There's a reason why this day is special, and even if things don't turn out the way you expected, the important thing is to be grateful for being able to enjoy it and adapt to whatever the day brings, but never lose the joy of your celebration 😍. The photographs are my property. I made the cover, divider, and banner in Canvas. The translator I used was DeepL. Until next time 💐.
