🌟 ¡Hola! ¡Hola! 🌟
¡Por fin arreglamos el jardín!, como les conté en esta publicación:
Arreglamos el jardín - parte 4
The materials we used were the following:
1 kilo of plaster.
2 kilos of white cement.
1 white glue.
1 anti-alkaline product called BellaPared.
All of this was mixed with water and the work would begin.
Los materiales que usamos fueron los siguientes:
1 kilo de yeso.
2 kilos de cemento blanco.
1 pega blanca.
1 antialcalino llamado BellaPared.
Todo esto se mezclaba con agua y comenzaba la labor.
My dear friends, who have accompanied me throughout the process of renovating my home, I hope you are all doing very well. We finally fixed the garden!, as I mentioned in this post: [We fixed the garden - part 4] And although I am still extremely excited about how it turned out, we realized that the rubble attached to the wall created moisture that threatened the stability of the wall and had seeped through to the other side. When the mason was working on the outside, I showed him some imperfections on the walls and told him that on other occasions I had applied putty, but it would fall off within three months. I even mentioned that the last repair was less than six months old and the deterioration of the work was already visible, as if nothing had been done. The guy told me that what my walls had was saltpeter; it turns out that these walls were originally made with materials that cause this kind of wear, which gradually 'eats away' at the structures. Fortunately, he gave me the solution, and the cost didn't seem high to me, considering that when we started examining the walls, we realized that the damage was greater than it initially appeared.

We started very early, and believe me, what was supposed to be something small or minor ended up in chaos. First, because the walls were very damaged. I liked the mason's work and the way he acknowledged things, because he explained to me or pointed out things I hadn't noticed:
The other detail we noticed was a fracture in the wall, which he explained to me is the result of seismic movement, and I was like WOW! On other occasions, he had applied professional paste, but it always reopened. In this case, it destroyed all the previous work and the crack was bigger, much bigger than it appeared on the surface.

If outside it was chaotic, inside in two hours the situation was the same, since things like carts, beds, shelves, and furniture had to be moved, in addition to cooking and attending to everything the construction worker needed. Results? 100/100 I LOVED IT! Definitely, when you work with professionals who care about the details, things turn out very well. The crack in the wall was successfully fixed and the wall was reinforced. As for the damaged walls, all of them turned out great. In fact, there was one wall that he completely covered with that plaster he made, and it looks so beautiful that I’m thinking of having that work done throughout the house, but then I remember the costs and the chaos in the house, so I’d better save it for another time when I’m really fed up and bored with having nothing to do 🙃. Honestly, everything is really good and functional; months have gone by and the walls are still smooth. Also, the water damage caused by the debris was completely resolved. I loved their results:
The contract covered painting the covered areas, but after carefully looking at the situation, if I painted just those areas, they would look uneven and noticeable. So, taking advantage of the chaos, I decided to make a contract with my trusted mason to paint the entire house. It seemed crazy, but I had to make everything the way I like it, nice and clean. What I did manage to do was finish the kitchen wall with the wallpaper I had bought; since I had already placed it on other walls, it was just a matter of cutting and sticking it. The result was:

Step by step, I went about organizing the house, but for now, I’ll leave it at this point so as not to overwhelm you with information. Although if it were up to me, I could write for hours, because I’m still happy about every change that this time actually turned out the way I wanted 😍. The photographs are my own, taken throughout the entire repair process. I made the cover and the banner in Canva. The translator I used was Google Translate. Until next time 🌟.
