A ver, ¿Por dónde quedamos?
¡AH! Ya les pongo al tanto:
Acá les muestro la parte 5 de cómo rescatamos las paredes del salitre y la humedad que es muy común en mi hogar y comunidad por la cercanía con el río y, por otro lado, el mismo material con el cual eran hechos los bloques anteriormente.
El trabajo quedó 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 (quizás 6 😊 porque quedó ¡GENIAL!) pero, una vez rescatadas, todas las paredes quedaron "manchadas" por lo que debía pintar completamente la casa. Yo pensaba pintar solo las partes afectadas, no obstante, teniendo un cuñete de pintura entero, la brocha, el señor de confianza dispuesto a pintar y la casa con todo movido, era el momento perfecto para hacer sus retoques.
Lo contaré en tres momentos:

The work turned out 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 (maybe 6 😊 because it turned out AWESOME!) but, once rescued, all the walls were "stained," so I had to paint the entire house. I had thought about painting only the affected parts; however, having a whole bucket of paint, the brush, the trusted man ready to paint, and the house all moved around, it was the perfect moment to do its touch-ups. I will tell it in three moments:
Como expliqué, tenía que pintar todo así que puse manos a la obra. Llamé a mi pintor de confianza y coordinamos para el día siguiente, porque lo necesitaba para YA.
Me dijo que eso era solo de un día, cosa que fui incrédula porque mis paredes son altas (más de 3 metros) y, en otras oportunidades cuando he pintado, me he tardado hasta una semana. Sin embargo, preferí creer en su palabra y nos pusimos "manos a la obra".
Por estar la casa con todo recogido, créanme que fue muy fácil pintar. Incluso, en medio día ya toda la casa estaba terminada ¡WOW! De verdad que el cambio se evidenció de inmediato y todo quedó muy lindo.
El señor Luis hizo un trabajo impecable y solo me quedó ordenar correctamente la casa. Esto se hizo en plena Navidad, casi que el niño nace entre pinturas y brochas, pero todo quedó como quería.
Para el trabajo, como solo era retoque, no usé ni medio cuñete de pintura, por lo que guardamos el sobrante con cinta adhesiva y bolsas para un uso posterior.

Painting the walls As I explained, I had to paint everything, so I got to work. I called my trusted painter and we coordinated for the next day, because I needed it done RIGHT AWAY. He told me that it was only a one-day job, something I was skeptical about because my walls are tall (over 3 meters) and, on other occasions when I have painted, it has taken me up to a week. However, I preferred to take his word for it, and we got to work. Since the house was completely tidied up, believe me it was very easy to paint. In fact, in half a day the whole house was already finished—WOW! The change was really noticeable immediately, and everything looked very nice. Mr. Luis did an impeccable job, and all I had to do was properly arrange the house. This was done right at Christmas, almost as if the baby was going to be born amidst paints and brushes, but everything turned out the way I wanted. For the job, since it was only touch-up, I didn't use even half a bucket of paint, so we stored the leftover with adhesive tape and bags for later use. Job 100/100 🌟.
Yo vi en el malvado Instagram, un cuarto pintado en colores fuertes; hace tiempo, le había colocado una cinta de flores hermosas y me dije "¿Por qué no?". Basado en esta mala decisión, me fui a la tienda y compré mis dos colores: Beige y rosado. Sí, el rosado Barbie, ese que se usa en el cuarto de las niñas o en una pared donde se decora muy lindo todo.
Painting the Room I saw on the wicked Instagram a room painted in bright colors; some time ago, I had put up a strip of beautiful flowers and I said to myself, "Why not?" Based on this bad decision, I went to the store and bought my two colors: Beige and pink. Yes, Barbie pink, the one used in girls' rooms or on a wall where everything is decorated very nicely.
Con el mundo en mi contra, pinté mi cuarto. Honestamente, quería algo distinto, llamativo y que poco a poco pueda ir decorando con luces, fotos, cuadros, o muebles más llamativos.
A mí me gustó el resultado, aunque creo que en las fotos lo "adornan" mucho, pero el solo hecho de hacerlo yo misma y en medio día, me generó una eterna satisfacción que ahora disfruto en la comodidad de mi cuarto.
Me sobró mucha pintura y estoy pensando en colocarla en el jardín para hacer un espacio tipo campestre o colorido ¿Qué dicen? 😎:
With the world against me, I painted my room. Honestly, I wanted something different, striking, and that I could gradually decorate with lights, photos, paintings, or more eye-catching furniture. I liked the result, although I think in the photos it is “adorned” a lot, but the very fact of doing it myself in half a day gave me an eternal satisfaction that I now enjoy in the comfort of my room. I had a lot of paint left over, and I’m thinking of putting it in the garden to create a countryside or colorful space. What do you think? 😎:
Pues, en la publicación les mostré que había comprado papel tápiz, de esos que están muy de moda y los coloqué cerca de la cocina. La función de ello es, más allá de decorar, era cubrir la pared de la grasa que me tenía la pared machada de salpicaduras.
Lo coloqué en la parte de abajo que se veía más deteriorada, pero aprovechando al señor Luis, retiré la repisa y completé la parte de la pared para que se viera más armónica y cubierta.
Me gustó también el resultado y ahora tengo una pared protegida por mucho tiempo. Quizás más adelante compre otro material y cubra completamente la pared, pero no es mi prioridad actualmente.
End of the kitchen wall Well, in the post I showed you that I had bought wallpaper, one of those that are very trendy, and I placed it near the kitchen. Its function, beyond decorating, was to cover the wall from the grease that had left it spotted with splashes. I placed it on the bottom part that looked more worn, but taking advantage of Mr. Luis, I removed the shelf and completed the part of the wall so that it looked more harmonious and covered. I also liked the result, and now I have a wall protected for a long time. Maybe later I’ll buy another material and cover the entire wall, but that is not my priority right now.
Aunque fue un arduo trabajo, porque estaba haciendo otros trabajos en el piso que después les mostraré, ese fue el trabajo más grande que hicimos finalizando el 2025 y solo nos quedó decorar y (no les mentiré), con la intención de volver a llenar esa lista del deseo para este 2026 que ya lleva 3 meses 😁.

Final Words Although it was hard work, because I was doing other jobs on the floor that I will show you later, that was the biggest job we did at the end of 2025 and we only had to decorate and (I won’t lie), with the intention of filling that wish list again for this 2026 which has already been 3 months 😁.
