When you start having children, teach them what they ought to know.
Tell them those important things that were hidden from you, when you were a child.
Don't feed their minds with superstitions and fake beliefs. Feed their minds with the truth.
Call everything by its name.
A spade should be called a spade. Don't try to manipulate names for things just to sound nice.
°You should have a clue of what I mean.
You won't spoil them if you enlighten them on the dangers of premarital sex, drug abuse, cultism, stealing, cheating and other vices, which are sinful and against the will of God.
Create enough time for them, no matter your tight schedule. Listen to the questions they ask and make sure you answer them sincerely.
Don't fail to tell them how blessed they are.
Even when they fail in any aspect, be there to encourage and correct them.
Avoid comparing them with other kids. If you do, it will affect their emotions and psyche.
You have to understand that every child is unique.
Lastly,
Teach them the word of God.
Teach them how to pray
Teach them how to respect and love others.
Remember, if you fail to teach them these things, society will mess with their brains.
°Proverbs 22:6 "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it."
