Hello friends.
So let me take us through the journey of how I did an MC(Master of Ceremony) job. I am not a comedian, not anymore. But I was once a comedian.
I started comedy when I was in secondary school. I would come out during social gathering and crack jokes and people would laugh and enjoy the moment. Those times were great, because I was really respected and celebrated in school then. I would he called in churches to perform and get paid. But I discovered something along the line. I loved music more than I loved cracking jokes. But my classmates would not stop begging me to perform anytime we gather for social gathering. The truth is that I never had a bad day, in the sense that I would spend enough time preparing myself and watching top comedians like @therealakpororo perform on stage.
After I graduated from secondary school, my love for music grew beyong my imagination and I dropped comedy entirely. I declined shows and made it clear to everyone that I was no more interested in stand-up comedy. They felt bad when I told them that, but they had no choice. I had already made up my mind. I joined a choir and started growing in music. And you know what? I've never regretted my decision to join the music industry as a gospel musician because I've really seen the evidence and conviction that I am doing the right thing for me. People said all manner of things when they discovered that I dropped comedy. Some said that I would never do well in music, "Comedy is your talent." Some told me how I'd become a failure amd the rest. But one funny thinh there was that none of them knew what was driving me. As a matter of fact, some of those people that said those things then do text me daily, "I want learn from you." They want to learn how I grew in music and how I manage my stage and audience when ministring. But they were the same set of persons that tried discouraging me when I wanted to take the step.

So after many years of dropping comedy, sometime last week I handled an event for my boss.
HOW DID IT HAPPEN?
During the I was learning from my boss in the choir, I was also learning a digital craft from my elder brother. He taught me script writing and script supervising.
Two months ago, my boss, a director who I work with called me to work with him in a particular job. I worked as the script supervisor. The Executive Producer happens to be a known educationist who does JAMB (Joint Admission and Matriculation Board) and WAEC (West African Examination Council) lessons. He fixed a party to celebrate his students that sat for JAMB. He called me, requesting a contact of my friend that does MC jobs. I called him and he obliged to work for him that day.

My guy called me on the day of the event telling me that he would not be available, probably had an emergency. I felt frustrated and disappointed because I hoped on him to come around. I decided to do it myself, although I have never done that before. I had to implement my jokes which I abandoned for years. But fortunately, I handled the event very well even more than I ever thought. And it was a success.
