Hi Hive,
When I first joined Hive back then, I won’t lie the rewards is what really caught my attention because that is something I really need to survive then. The idea of earning from writing, engaging, and sharing my thoughts sounded exciting. In a worlfy where a lot of social media platforms take our content for free while giving nothing back, Hive felt different. It felt like a place where effort really mattered.

But as time passed, something shifted in me.
Hive gradually became more than just a platform for rewards. It became part of my daily life. I found communities where people genuinely cared about my ideas. I met individuals from different parts of the world who encouraged me, corrected me, and inspired me to keep improving. Every post I wrote became more than a chance to earn, but it became a way to express myself.
There were moments when my posts earned nothing or very little, and honestly, it was discouraging sometimes. You spend hours writing from the heart and then receive almost nothing in return. In those moments, I asked myself the same question: “Why am I still here?”
The answer surprised me.
I realized that Hive gave me something many platforms never did and that's a voice. And not just a voice, but ownership of my content and freedom to be myself. On Hive, I learned consistency, creativity, and patience as well. I became more confident in sharing my opinions and experiences. Even my writing improved because of the feedback and interactions from other users.
So, would I still use Hive without rewards?
That's a big question but Yes, I honestly would.
Honestly, rewards are motivating. They help people like me stay active and feel appreciated as well. They also support many users financially, especially in places where every little earning matters. But beyond the tokens and payouts, Hive has become a digital home for me. A space where memories, growth, friendships, and opportunities exist.
If the rewards is no more there tomorrow, a lot of people would probably leave. That is understandable. But I believe the people who truly connected with the platform would still remain. Because at its core, Hive is not only about money but it is about community, expression, learning, and building something tangible together.
And sometimes, those things are worth more than rewards.
