Greetings again today, Sunday February 26, to the Visualblock community. For today I wanted to share a board game, which little by little, in its original version, has been forgotten, and it is BINGO, which was played a lot when I was a child, and today it is still played both online, digitally, and in casinos, but perhaps it has lost the charm of its original version, which is the drum that is turned by hand and the numbered balls are extracted.

When I was little, around 6 years old, it was normal for some children and boys from the urbanization to meet in a house to play different board games, such as bingo, ludo, monopoly... hours and hours playing and laughing, sometimes fighting because someone was cheating, or perhaps another was not satisfied with the result. It was also a matter of playing, because there were a lot of us and some games only accept a small number of players, as is the case with Ludo, that's why we liked other larger games like Monopoly and Bingo.

Frankly, at first I got lost in the cardboard and when they "sang" the little balls they were taking out of the bass drum; however, my dad, seeing my lack of understanding of the game, explained it to me. He also played Bingo when he was little, since it was normal in those times of the mid-twentieth century, and also in a certain period of time, his family had a very difficult economic situation, so my grandmother managed to earn some livelihood: He set up a sale of empanadas, coffee and soft drinks and as an additional attraction he bought a Bingo and then people went at the end of the afternoon, and played, paying for each play or card, and at the same time consuming what my grandmother sold. It was a few years with this business, so my dad knew very well how to play Bingo, and he explained it to me.

I remember those moments with joy, both when my dad explained the game to me, and when I played it. That's why years later, as an adult, I saw this game in a store near my house and bought it. It must be around 12 years old with me, and we've really used it a few times at home, that's why it looks intact, but the times we've played it, it's super fun. If you look closely at the photos, this game has: A drum, into which the 75 numbered plastic balls are inserted, to then turn the drum and extract the ball that remains stuck in the basket, that is, it is something absolutely random. The balls have a letter that corresponds to one of the word BINGO and below it has a number. In each of the 100 cards that the game brings, there are 25 chances to hit, since under each letter of the word BINGO, there is a number, so if the extracted ball matches what is on the card, it is marked ; for which generally pebbles, or grains of corn or beans are used. It is won when the player covers or fills a horizontal, vertical or diagonal line on the card; that is, five consecutive cells; at that moment, BINGO is shouted, the game stops and whoever hits their card collects the amount that is collected, which is called a pot. It also brings a large cardboard, which serves as a guide for the person who "sings" the Bingo, to know which balls have already come out.

I don't know if you have had the opportunity to play Bingo like this, in its original version, because I know very well that it is a very popular game in casinos (I have played it several times), and there is also a digital version; however, nothing replaces the excitement of playing it like this, with friends or family. And you, have you played Bingo?

Here I end my post today, in which I wanted to share a memory from my childhood, a unique game, in its original version. Greetings.
