The very first frontend I used when I joined Hive was Ecency, and from there, it became my go-to frontend for everything on Hive. I'm not saying that I don't use other frontends—I do, and I use them occasionally—but when it comes to my normal activities on the Blockchain, the Ecency frontend has it all.
The Web and App Versions
The app version is very good, and I love how it gives me notification pop-ups about anything and everything happening on the Hive Blockchain, depending on how I set it. However, I make use of the web version more, especially when it comes to making posts, dropping comments, voting, and even carrying out simple trades of Hive and HBD.
Recently, I noticed that the feature to get HP Delegation using Ecency points is no longer available on the web, so I now make use of the app for that function.
Yes, that's how enchanted I am with the Ecency frontend.
Trading on Ecency
This feature is just too underrated in the Ecency app. I find it the easiest way to make swaps between Hive and HBD on the Hive Blockchain. I don't even need to open another website or app to do that—just one click on TRADE TOKEN, and the swapping is done easily.
Even better, the trade is processed instantly, without even waiting up to 30 seconds to get it completed.
Ecency Points
The reward system of earning Ecency points while using the frontend, both on the app and the web, is an amazing idea. These points can either be gifted to someone or used to get HP Delegation from the Ecency account, which lasts for a long duration depending on the number of points used and the user's preference. Personally, I usually get the delegation often.
The ways to earn these points are numerous, and some of them include making posts, dropping comments and replies, voting, and more. Lest I forget, there's also a daily spin-to-win feature available on both the app and web where one can earn additional points.
Ecency Waves
This is another feature of the Ecency frontend that one simply cannot skip falling in love with. It's the perfect place to express what's on your mind without having to write a lengthy article. It's where you can share little things about your day in just a few words and still get rewarded—both with votes and Ecency points.
Ecency Votes
How can I end this article without mentioning the support one gets by using the Ecency frontend?
This is one of the biggest support systems on the entire Blockchain, and I must give kudos to the entire Ecency team for implementing this brilliant idea.
In case you don't know—although I'm sure you already do—let me still point it out: users who use the Ecency frontend to publish their posts get direct support from the Ecency account through upvotes.
