Sometimes you have to let a fire spread before enough people are willing to fix the problem. It's a hard lesson to learn, but the reality is that most people are content to watch the smoke and the embers until the fire is right at their doorstep and someone else's problem is now theirs. You see this in many companies and especially in governments. Hive is no different.

While I'm grateful for a great buying opportunity due to the lower HIVE price, it also raises the question of why has the price dropped? Yes, part of the reason is we're in a bear market but part of it is also because there's less outside interest in Hive compared to years past. Projects are closing down, people are stepping away, rewards have decreased because of the hard fork, and yet there seems to be no upside to any of this.
A Phoenix from The Ashes?
I think we're reaching a pivotal moment here for Hive. People are taking notice and talking. It's become uncomfortable. Soon, the small flames will become an inferno that nobody can avoid discussing, and that's when we'll have the hard conversations. These will be the conversations that shape what we become. Hive won't die, but will we carry on in obscurity or use this as motivation to really improvise and stand out? I'm betting on the latter, but we'll have to see when we get there.
Burn The Ships
I've heard some talk of a "go down with the ship" mentality, but I think we need to approach it differently. Hive isn't a ship that will go down. It will continue on.
What we need is to cut out the DHF spending. We need easier onboarding. We need more use cases for HIVE so people want to not buy, but use it.
We won't get there if we all just give up. Are we committed? Do we have faith that we can make things better? If not, where else is there to even go? Are we willing to burn the ships, affirming our commitment to Hive?
I'm here to stay. I believe we can make Hive better and see it thrive once more. What about you?
